Safety First!

I was just clearing some pictures off my camera in preparation for Florida and came across this video from Christmas vacation in Ottawa. It's too funny not to share! It's of Abbey and Michael playing with grand-papa in his workout room. They discovered a new way to use the treadmill together! I think they should have been wearing helmets but they had already done it 5 times when I came downstairs!
They are having a blast though! Gotta love when grand-papa babysits!!! ha!ha!

Sunday, Sunday...

We woke up to a fresh, new, fluffy, white snow landscape!! It was so beautiful that we were dressed and outside by 9am. We shovelled, made a snowman and went sledding...all before 11!

It was so nice out and we had a wonderful time!

My two helpers...well at least one was helping!

Here's Michael climbing back up the snow hill. Usually there are at least 4 neighbourhood children that join us. I swear they have a radar for when I'm outside. Today though it was just us and I loved it!

Pretty cool to think that today we were playing in the snow and in 4 days we'll be playing in the sand!!! I can't wait!

Daylight Saving Time Change

This is the weekend we "Spring ahead" which means I lose 1 hour of valuable report card writing time. Insanity!!!! I'd better call my principal and explain my reasoning on why I obviously need an extension! Oh wait! I already got one! bahahahahaha!
My goal is to just once in my life have report cards handed in on time. What's my problem?
I can't even blame it on the kids, or the fact that I've been on my own to write them because truth be told even when I was single...I still finished them right at the deadline! I think I'll throw a party on the day I actually hand them in before they are due! It might be the year I retire! FOR THE LOVE!
It's after 1 a.m. and I only have 4 more to write (parts of four actually) so the end is in sight! As you can see by the ridiculousness (word?!?) of this blog...I'm glad I stopped when I did! Who knows what I'm liable to write!
Oh and another thing...tonight I've had Coke, two Caramilk eggs (just discovered those and LOVE them!!!), chips and licorice!!! and next week I'm supposed to wear a bikini! Good grief! Why can't I just lose weight when I'm stressed like every other human being?

Changes....

There are things that will definitely change when Steve gets home...and here are perfect examples of two of those things!

A video of Abbey and Michael dancing away to COUNTRY music while wearing SENATORS Jerseys! hee!hee! Steve would die (he's a hard core Leafs fan and would rather get stabbed in the ears then listen to country music)!!!

Some great things that will definitely change as well....no more grilled cheese for supper, no more garbage detail and no more cold feet for me! YAY!

Winter Pics...

We've had a LOT of Snow Days this year! I took these pictures of our last snow day together. (These were taken AFTER my cousin Claire's grumpy phone call from Ontario cursing me for not having to go to work again! hee!hee!)

Here's Abbey playing Peek-A-Boo in the tunnel I made with the "help" of many neighbourhood kids. We got rain last weekend and now all my hard work has been washed away but it was fun while it lasted. I have great memories of playing in snow forts and tunnels with my neighbours Craig and Shelley as a child.

Here's the snowman Michael, Abbey and I built. We all rolled a part of it. Michael rolled the middle part a little too lbig and I nearly got a hernia trying to lift it. Ugh! That explains why it's leaning a bit...I could only push it up so far! ha!ha! The Leaning Tower of Laurel St.

I'm in report card Hell right now but the end is in sight and on the other side is sunny Florida and living full time with my husband!!! woohoo!

Is there anything better then seeing your 6'5, 230 pound husband surrounded by his two children reading the book Pinkalicious in his daughter's princess bed? ha!ha! Not for me!!!


Love it!!! It's so nice to be all together again...even for just a short visit! (but the end is near!!!)
