My Little Dare Devil...

Here's a short video of Michael riding out of the four-wheeling trails behind our house. We do this everyday, MANY times a day! I follow him in over branches, roots and pine cones trying my best to keep up with him...my 4 year old! For the love!!!

Please excuse the commentary on the video...not quite sure why I'm talking/singing like that?!?It's quite annoying! Sorry! 

BONFIRE!!!

It happened! It finally happened! Our first backyard bonfire in our very own fire pit! I don't know who was more excited...ME or the kids!  This was a school night so we did it quite early... our family, our neighbours and a few neighbourhood kids took part in the action. 

I don't know why the kids always come hang out at my house...wouldn't you think they'd want to get AWAY from the teacher?!? I don't get it!?! Great kids though so I don't mind! FUN time had by all! 

Thanks to my wonderful husband who built me this 5 star fire pit! We are going to get SO much use out of it! I LOVE it! 

P.S. Mary...I finally got to break out my S'mores kit! Tons of fun! Thanks! Great gift! xo

Memories of Disney...

We were missing Walt Disney World this weekend so....Mickey Mouse ears pancakes made it all better! ha!ha!

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

I feel like I should be building an ark! It's been raining or has been overcast for SOOO long here in the Valley! Not only have I had to endure inclement weather schedule at school but two weeks ago Steve built me a fire pit and we haven't even been able to use it yet!!!

The fire pit is amazing! I can't wait for our first bon fire! I will post pictures of the finished product when we FINALLY get to use it! Keep your fingers crossed for SUNSHINE!

Boys Will Be Boys...

Michael is a boys boy through and through...he's all about trucks, dirt and riding his bike fast and furious! He idolizes a little boy on our street named Joe who is 7 and although Michael's only 4 he tries his best to keep up with him. This means ridding his bike on the 4-wheeling trails behind our house, skidding out in the sand and I know this one is coming soon (because Joe does it all the time) riding into, then out of the ditches! That boy is going to give us a coronary!!!
Here's the evidence of how hard my Michael plays...4 pairs of jeans ALL with holes in them (coincidentally all in the left knee?!?) All these jeans still fit him perfectly but are now sadly out of "school clothes" rotation. He has one more pair of "good" jeans which will be for school only from now on! I see a shopping trip to Halifax in my near future!!!

Sunday Brunch...

Last Sunday, our family met 15 friends for a reunion at the Port Pub in Port Williams. Our good friends "The Bruce's" were posted to Kingston, ON last year and came back to NS for a visit last week. It was great to catch up, share laughs and reminisce. Abbey was super excited to see her friends because I told her she could wear the dress grand-maman bought her in Florida. This was the dress we were going to "save" for graduation BUT since then grand-maman has bought Abbey a NEW graduation dress. 48 days until Abbey and Michael's pre-kindergarten graduation...I wonder if the "newer" dress will be THE final ONE! ha!ha!
